Do solar panels require planning permission? 
 
In most cases, getting solar panels installed does not require an application for planning permission, as it is included within your Permitted Development Rights. Certain homes and businesses, however, will require planning permission. If you live in a listed building, or within a Conservation Area, then we are always available to provide any guidance or assistance you might need with planning advice and planning permission before the project begins.

What’s an EICR and why does my rental property require one? 
 
Electrical installation condition report is an assessment of the fixed wiring installation within your property, assessing the age, defects, damage and regulation of the electrical installation. The private rental scheme was introduced on 1st July 2020, that all new tenancies will require an electrical safety check to be in place. 
If I have outside lighting installed, can I operate them wirelessly or via smart app? 
 
Yes, absolutely you can. We can install various devices that allow to operate your lighting from your smart phone and wireless switching within your property. 
How much money can I save with solar panels & battery storage installed? 
 
As well as being paid for the energy generated by your solar panels, you can also reduce your energy bills by up to 50%. Electricity rates are only expected to continue growing, and a renewable energy source means that you will be able to avoid an annual energy price rise of around 10% a year. 
My Friend keeps saying I need my fusebox upgraded? 
 
They may be correct, if your consumer unit is plastic there is a chance that an upgrade could improve the electrical safety within your property. 
Can I charge my electric vehicle off plug socket? 
 
Various car manufactures have a 13amp plug adapter to charge your vehicle, but this will not allow you to charge the car battery efficiently. We recommend you have a type 2 EV charger installed. 
Do you offer an emergency callout service, if so how much? 
 
We do offer a callout service with rates beginning at £95 for the first hour, then £65 per hour thereafter. All prices are subject to VAT, material cost and within a 5 mile radius of office.
